Questions over whether extra funds from branded milk reaches farmers

Australian consumers will spend almost $114 million more on branded milk this year in an effort to support dairy farmers through a boycott of $1 private label milk, according to consumer group Choice.

Bud despite the well-intentioned extra spending, the consumer advocate said there is “no guarantee this will be passed on to farmers”.
