Distiller Syrup is a dark brown liquid with similar consistency to runny honey, having a pleasant fermented odour and slightly bitter taste. The product is the liquid fraction that remains after grains (principally wheat) have been fermented in the process of producing bio-ethanol in combination with yeast and enzymes. It is very high in metabolisable energy and a good source of available crude protein due to high carbohydrate and fat contents and low fibre.
